Becky’s coaching career really took flight when she was hired at TMU (Ryerson University) as their first Full-Time Assistant Coach for the Women’s Volleyball Team in 2015. In her 3rd year with TMU, the squad went undefeated in the regular season and then went on to win the OUA Championship followed by the USPORTS Championship, making both wins a first in TMU history. She then left her position to have her first baby girl 4 weeks after Nationals.

Becky has also played at all levels for both indoor and beach volleyball. From club, to Team Ontario, to University (Queen’s University – 2012 OUA Champs + TMU in 2016), and then representing Canada for beach volleyball at the FISU World University Games in 2011, FIVB + NORCECA international events, as well as professionally in Germany for an indoor volleyball team.

In the beach world, Becky has been the Head Coach for the 18U Team Ontario Women, along with the Beach Volleyball Section Head at Madawaska Camps for 6 very special and formative years from 2011-2016. Her passion and love for Beach Volleyball has even led her to starting her own Beach Volleyball club in 2022 called RiseUp Beach Volleyball, which aims to introduce and popularize the sport of beach volleyball to community members of all ages as well as train and develop the selected elite for national and international competition.

Becky believes that developing the whole person before the athlete through empowerment and empathy by fostering a healthy, trusting, and connected relationship will lead our young women & men into lifelong athleticism and a long-term love for the sport.
