This is Darlene’s 5th year as a coach with the Smash Raiders Volleyball Club. She has been a Head Coach for SRVC for 3 years. Darlene was also the Head Coach for the 2023 CANUSA Games. She was the Head Coach for the Westdale Junior Girls Volleyball team while she studied at McMaster University. Personally, Darlene played club volleyball throughout high school with the Waterloo Tigers. Darlene has also played competitively with the OVA, both indoor women’s and beach for several years. Darlene is a Trained Development Coach.
Darlene is excited to be back on the court this season as the Assistant Coach for 18U Ice in the senior division,, helping to build leadership, volleyball skills and great memories for her athletes. Her coaching philosophy is centered around teamwork, communication, effort and sportsmanship.
Outside the court, Darlene lives in Caledonia with her husband, 2 kids and 2 dogs. She is a Physiotherapist and owns her own Physiotherapy clinic and in her spare time, you can find her playing pickleball or solving escape rooms.
