Head Coach – 18U Bolt

Jenny-Lynn Pellegrino

Coach Jenny is in her 17th Season with the OVA,  She is a Fully Certified Advanced Development Coach and currently working on her Performance Coach certification.

Jenny will be leading our 18U Girls Bolt team this season . She’s excited to continue with this group and see them further their growth. Jenny believes that it is important to pass down the knowledge she has received from Mentors to her fellow Coaches, especially to former athletes who are now coming back to the program to assist her and want to learn and continue to grow this game. For Jenny, it’s not just about what happens on the court that is important to her. She feels that a connection with the players both on and off the court is what really makes a team stand strong and united.

Jenny was the 2020 Sandy Silver Coach of the Year and most recently won the OVA Achievement Award for her work within the volleyball community.  She is currently in her 7th season with the OCAA, 1st Year as Head Coach at Mohawk.  She was the Lead Assistant at Mohawk for the 2023/2024 season and the past 5 were with the Niagara Women’s Volleyball Program.

Jenny has been with Team Ontario for 8 years. This summer she will be a Coach Mentor, meaning she will be mentoring coaches who are pursuing High Performance with Team Ontario and the TORP Program.  This past summer she was a Head Coach for the Team Ontario Red program (2023). She worked with a group of 32 athletes and 5 coaches.  She led a group of 14 athletes to the Canada Cup where they won the Gold Medal in the White Division.  This was the first Gold medal for Team Ontario in quite some time.  In the past she has acted as an Apprentice Coach with the Brock University Varsity Women’s Program. She was the Head Coach for the Region 3 Girls Red team at the Ontario Summer Games in London in 2018. The group was ranked 5th going into the tournament and finished the Games with a Bronze Medal. In previous years, she had the opportunity to work at the 14U HPC Indoor/Beach Camp (2017), and was the Assistant Coach for the Ontario Summer Games Region 3 girls, Silver Medalists (2016).  Jenny continues to pursue her passion by constantly leaning on her network of coaches so she can bring back to her athletes.

Jenny is looking forward to bringing her passion and knowledge of the game to our Club and athletes.
