Sofia Spoljar

Sofia brings a complete high-performance background to the program, spanning elite club play, provincial representation, and collegiate leadership. Her foundation began with five years at Smash Raiders Volleyball Club, learning under a wide variety of coaching philosophies. In 2018, she represented Region 3 at the Ontario Summer Games. Sofia went on to play five seasons of varsity volleyball at Mohawk College (2021–2026), competing as a left side attacker before transitioning to libero for her final two seasons. Throughout her collegiate career, she earned OCAA All-Rookie Team honors, received the Coaches Award in her fourth year, and capped her final season as Team Captain and MVP.

In addition to her athletic background, Sofia holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McMaster University and works as a Registered Nurse. She integrates her medical knowledge directly into her coaching, emphasizing smart conditioning, injury prevention, and athletic movement. Having played key roles on both offense and defense, Sofia is focused on driving technical precision, positional IQ, and a competitive environment where athletes build real confidence and perform under pressure.
