This is Tanya’s second season as an assistant coach with the Smash Raiders. Building on the strong foundation developed through coaching Triple Ball last season, Tanya is excited to continue helping athletes grow into well-rounded volleyball players. Her focus this year is on advancing core skills, deepening game understanding, and fostering a competitive yet supportive team environment where every player can thrive. Tanya’s coaching philosophy centers around a “team-first” mentality, a relentless pursuit of excellence, and building strong, courageous athletes who are accountable and supportive teammates on the court—and respectful, responsible individuals off the court.
As a coach, Tanya believes in every athlete and is committed to helping them grow not just as volleyball players, but as confident, resilient individuals. Her goal is to create a focused, goal-driven environment where players challenge themselves, support one another, and develop a mindset that empowers them to believe in their abilities and reach their full potential.
A unique part of the Smash Raiders culture is the team’s commitment to giving back to the local community. Tanya is proud to be part of a program that values service, believing that being a great athlete also means being a great person.
Fun Fact: Tanya is a big tennis fan and loves attending live matches whenever she can. She also enjoys running, cooking, and baking. She’s a proud mom of two daughters who played elite volleyball and basketball—and fun twist—her eldest daughter is the head coach of the Smash Raiders 13U team!
