While playing, Geoff started his coaching career over 25 years ago and has led both kids and adults developmental training clinics and head coached Club volleyball, women’s OVA, beach camps and high school teams. Geoff thrives to do everything he can to help those he coaches grow, develop and succeed in the volleyball environment. He runs fast paced, high energy practices. His goal is to ensure improvement of individuals and teams as a whole after every practice. A hard practice makes an easy game! Favorite quote “You learn you can do your best even when it’s hard, even when you’re tired and maybe hurting a little bit. It feels good to show some courage.” —Joe Namath (NFL quarterback)

Dwayne Boecker

Born and raised in Hamilton, Dwayne has had a lifelong connection with competitive sport, both as an athlete and as a coach. This has included playing volleyball all through high school. This will be the 6th year he has been involved at the coaching level with the OVA.

Dwayne is a father of 2 girls and has a Kinesiology degree from McMaster. Sport has always played a huge part in both his personal and professional development. He wants to help pass both the physical and social benefits of competitive team sport on to the next generation of athletes.

Jenny-Lynn Pellegrino

Coach Jenny is in her 16th Season with the OVA,  She is a Fully Certified Advanced Development Coach and currently working on her Performance Coach certification.

Jenny will be assisting our 17U Girls Bolt team this season . She’s excited to join this group and see them further their growth. Jenny believes that it is important to pass down the knowledge she has received from Mentors to her fellow Coaches, especially to former athletes who are now coming back to the program to assist her and want to learn and continue to grow this game. For Jenny, it’s not just about what happens on the court that is important to her. She feels that a connection with the players both on and off the court is what really makes a team stand strong and united.

Jenny was the 2020 Sandy Silver Coach of the Year. She is currently in her 6th season as a Lead Assistant Coach with the OCAA, 1st Year with Mohawk this season and the past 5 were with the Niagara Women’s Volleyball Program.  Jenny has been with Team Ontario for 7 years. This summer she was a Head Coach for the Team Ontario Red program (2023). She worked with a group of 32 athletes and 5 coaches.  She led a group of 14 athletes to the Canada Cup where they won the Gold Medal in the White Division.  This was the first Gold medal for Team Ontario in quite some time.  She will be working with Team O Elite in December. In the past she has acted as an Apprentice Coach with the Brock University Varsity Women’s Program. She was the Head Coach for the Region 3 Girls Red team at the Ontario Summer Games in London in 2018. The group was ranked 5th going into the tournament and finished the Games with a Bronze Medal. In previous years, she had the opportunity to work at the 14U HPC Indoor/Beach Camp (2017), and was the Assistant Coach for the Ontario Summer Games Region 3 girls, Silver Medalists (2016).

Jenny is looking forward to bringing her passion and knowledge of the game to our Club and athletes.
