 13U SHOCK COACHES

Andrew Courchesne

Head Coach 13U Shock

Coach Andrew has been involved in volleyball since the 1980’s, playing in High School and the OVA as a Setter.  As a volleyball coach with 7 years of experience with teams at the 13U and 14U levels, he has dedicated himself to helping players reach their full potential on and off the court.  He strives to create a positive and supportive team environment where each player feels valued and motivated to improve.

Being mentored by senior coaches helps Coach Andrew learn strategies and techniques that will enhance the performance of the team and ensure that the team is always pushing themselves to be the best that they can be.  He believes in the power of teamwork, team mentality, communication, and self confidence through sport, and instills these values in the athletes he coaches.  Coach Andrew’s goal is not only to help his team succeed in matches, but to help them grow as individuals and develop important life skills that will benefit them long after their volleyball careers are over.  One the greatest rewards to Andrew is seeing former players move on to post secondary teams.

Andrew was self employed in the construction industry since 1986, and was involved in roofing and waterproofing projects across Canada, the Caribbean, and Europe.  He enjoys a good fishing trip, camping, and spending time with his family.
