ASSISTANT COACH - 14U DYNAMITE & COACH AT LARGE
Mark Stevens
A Certified Developmental Coach and a Trained Advanced Development Coach. He is the former President of the Waterdown Raiders VC until merging clubs with Smash VC in 2019.
Mark was an active athlete in many sports including basketball & volleyball over his lifetime. He was re-introduced to the sport with the development and popularity of beach volleyball in the late ’80’s. Ever since he has been involved with volleyball in some way as an athlete, coach, organizer and Club President in both Youth & Adult programs. Mark’s accomplishments and successes take a backseat to his passion and dedication for the sport.
Mark is a competitive and caring coach who gets the most from his athletes. He believes that developing a love for the sport is the first priority for coaches in developing young athletes. Building on this, a coach needs to provide a supportive, knowledgeable and challenging experience to promote an athlete’s desire to succeed in their sports career.

Tauri Caputo
Tauri is the Smash Raiders Volleyball Club President/Technical Director. He is also currently serving as the president of Region 3 for the OVA.
A fully trained NCCP Level 3 Performance Coach, this will be his 10th season as a coach in the OVA. He is focused on technical proficiency and developing the whole athlete. Tauri runs technical clinics for athletes from all over the province and strives for continuous improvement.

Simran Deol
Simran holds a Life Sciences degree from McMaster and is presently pursuing a Masters degree in Health Science Education at the same institution.
Volleyball has played a pivotal role in her personal development. Her journey with volleyball began in middle school as a member of the school team. During high school, she transitioned to playing rep volleyball, and presently, as a university student, she actively participates in an intramural league. Through her coaching endeavors, Simran aspires to cultivate a positive team dynamic and empower players to unearth their strengths and life skills that transcend the boundaries of the court.
Outside of volleyball, you can find Simran hiking, tending to her garden, or wandering McMaster’s campus!
ASSISTANT COACH - 14U DYNAMITE
Paige Masters
Paige discovered her love for volleyball at the Sunday Smash program and has been playing for Smash Raiders since 13U. She is excited to play this season for 17U Strikers. During her time with Smash, she has received awards for Most Improved Player, the OVA Award of Excellence, and Most Dedicated. She has also competed in the OVA beach program for the last 2 years.
Paige attends high school and has played on the senior volleyball team since grade 10 where she was co-captain. Paige has been coaching the Sunday Smash program for the last two years and also coached at the Hillfield summer camp this year. Paige has always loved coaching and working with kids and hopes to be a teacher when she’s older.
