Darlene Losier

This is Darlene’s second year as a head coach with the Smash Raiders Volleyball Club. Darlene is a Trained Development Coach.   She was the head coach for the Westdale Junior Girls Volleyball team while she studied at McMaster University. Darlene was also the head volleyball coach for the 2023 CANUSA Games.   Personally, Darlene played club volleyball throughout high school with the Waterloo Tigers.  Darlene has also played competitively with the OVA, both indoor women’s and beach for several years.

Outside the court, Darlene lives in Caledonia with her husband, 2 kids and 2 dogs. She is a Physiotherapist and owns her own Physiotherapy clinic and in her spare time, you can find her playing pickleball or solving escape rooms.

Darlene is excited to be back on the court this season, helping to build leadership, volleyball skills and great memories for her athletes.

Taylor Casey

Taylor’s passion for volleyball emerged in middle school, where she played rep volleyball until university. Her experiences in tournaments and the feeling of being part of a team is what fueled the fire to pursue coaching.

Throughout her University career she continued to play competitively, was an athletic therapist for a handful of varsity teams, and has had the opportunity to be an assistant coach for the OVA for one prior season.

Her philosophy is to create a place to build confidence and character in both the good and bad times. As well as facilitating a positive environment to encourage athletes development and pursue their goals on and off the court.

Outside of volleyball, you can find Taylor playing squash, reading, and hanging out with her two dogs!
